On Wednesday, October 25, at the Halloran Centre in Memphis, I have the privilege of delivering the keynote address to the Innovate IT Conference. I also am honored to interview two relatively new higher education presidents in Memphis, Dr. Tracy Hall, President of Southwest Tennessee Community College (2015) and Dr. Andrea Miller, President of LeMoyne Owen College (2017).

I am interested in hearing how they are attracting more women and minorities into the IT field, as well as the STEM areas. In addition, they will discuss how they are supporting women in leadership positions on their campus and in the community. As recognized leaders, their voices are significant ones to the community as they help build the Memphis economy through their IT and STEM programs.

Conference attendees will also meet Presidents Hall and Miller on a personal level at a reception. It will be great to be back in Memphis where I served for 12 years. I am eager to see old friends and hear about the exciting developments in the innovative and entrepreneurial city of Memphis. Thanks to Regina Whitley, Executive Director for the invitation.
